While Daddy is Gone; We Play and Blow our Noses

Tim is just now going to sleep for the last night in Cambodia and starts his 2-day journey home tomorrow morning. The kids and I are so excited to have Daddy back home, but also so proud of Daddy going where God is asking him to go. This trip has gone really fast for me and the kids. With the usual school day routine, nap time, a few hair appointments, and some fun, it's been okay. It's the last little bit with snot noses, coughs, fevers, and labored breathing that's been the pits. It's amazing how one little one can blow from nose to toes in distance! TMI…sorry. It's just snot. Better than other stuff I've dealt with recently!
The sunshine this week has been a blessing as it allowed me to get outside and start the winter clean up of LARGE branches that fell to piles of cider droppings that filtered through the many cider trees in the back yard. The daffodils are getting ready to pop open and the ferns have been cut back. I love the beginning of each season as it is something new and fresh to look forward too! Yesterday as Charlie and I were picking up sticks we noticed an eagle perched in the front yard. How magnificent! What beauty to see so close too!!! From there the robins greeted us with songs as they plucked the slimy worms from the soaked ground. Myriam managed to get some fresh air which helped clear her lungs a bit, but come night time it was labored and challenging to breath for Boo. Praying that as we wake to another gorgeous morning, we can use less "issues" and find more rest so when we pick up Daddy on Thursday we can be ready to play!

Here's what we've been doing…

 { Thank you to Aunt Debbie for the Wood's gift card which provided us with hot chocolate and scones. }
{ The kids LOVE the new play set and beach area! }

{ Wore the kids out as Myriam below looks like she's about to fall asleep walking the pier followed by walking in Nana's shoes. }

 { Our drug store }

 { No more holly branches instead pretty colorful violas! }

 { Back yard all cleaned up and ready for Spring! }

{ This is how I found the kids last night sound asleep snuggling together. They do love each other! }
